Wenn die Kurse immer höher klettern, wenn alle in Euphorie versunken sind (ich wusste gar nicht, dass die lock-down Misere so Börsen euphorisch macht),
ja dann ist doch die Frage berechtigt, kann es so noch weiter gehen? Oder kommt nun, auch markttechnisch, bald der Crash, und die grosse Panik danach?
Dazu fand ich eine Graphik, den "citi panic/euphoria index".
Und der hat eine Welenlänge von 20 Jahren zwischen den euphorischen Highs. Dazwischen dann das gute alte Spekulieren mit Aufs und Abs, aber eben auf kleinerem Massstab.
Das fand ich bei reddit dazu:
Citi’s Panic/Euphoria model for equities in euphoria territory and at levels not seen since 2001.
According to Citi, the model estimates a 95% probability of down markets in the next 12 months.
On the flip side, some work from Bespoke Investment Group: “Thursday marked 100 trading days since the S&P 500 made its COVID Crash closing low on March 23rd. Over this 100-trading day span, the S&P rallied 51.3%”
Fewer than ten instances in which the S&P 500 has even gained more than 35% over a 100-trading day span. “Prior extreme moves mostly saw a continuation of gains in the coming months.” Bizarrely, the S&P 500 is less than 0.5% from its all time high but the AAII bullish sentiment index is at 30% which is 10 percentage points lower than what would be expected this close to all time highs."
